First of all, I'd like to thank you for your great job in developing the micEconCES package. It is a breakthrough that brings economists back to the use of the CES PF in their empirical work. Besides, I'd like you, please, to elaborate on the economic intuition behind the two elasticities of substitution in a nested CES function. In particular, the gross versus net elasticity of substitution. Also, I'm wondering whether using the nested CES function allows for estimating the "scale effects" in a way or another.
